Bushman Curios belongs to Olga Grobler, a person with great knowledge of the wildlife in South Africa, having lived in the Kruger National Park for many years. For her it is a pleasure to help you find that special something you're looking for.

WHY BUSHMAN CURIOS?

This is surely a name to be proud of. The Bushmen were the people that left their signature against almost every rock formation in the Oudtshoorn district. Today this rock-art forms part of the colourful natural heritage of Oudtshoorn.

They were good artists; their outstanding hunting and tracking skills were also of great interest. Ostriches occurred naturally in the Klein Karoo and proved to be very beneficial to the Bushmen. They used the ostrich as a source of food and the egg shells for carrying around their most important asset - water. They also used the egg shells to create water caches by burying them underground for future emergencies.

Today, in remembrance of the Bushmen, we named our own curio shop - Bushman Curios.
